Rainy Season
The monsoon wind arrived bringing with it the rain. In Hyderabad, it normally starts around the first week of June. I was in New Zealand at the time, so there was a huge contrast. When I left it was 44-45 degrees most days, and when I returned it was a mere 30 degrees or so. And it gets down to the low-mid 20s during the night. We don't even need the AC on anymore, and a lot of the time we don't even need the fans now.
The rainy season here doesn't mean it rains non-stop. In fact, it's more like a wet Auckland summer, but without the wind. Some days it rains or drizzles all day, with occasional heavy patches, other times it goes several days without raining at all. It tends to rain in the afternoons and evenings more than during the morning or afternoon. But of course, sometimes you do get an absolute torrential downpour, but they usually don't last very long.
I've tried to capture a few pictures of it, but have been mostly unsuccessful. It's pretty hard to photograph rain with a cellphone camera.
