Boogie Wonderland

I've recently discovered Boogie Wonderland, a 70's disco club in downtown Auckland. One great thing about it is that it isn't full of gorgeous teenagers who shop on High street, but a much more diverse group of people who are all there to have fun.

It has a light-tile dance floor, lots of mirror balls and wonderful 70's decor (orange!). I reckon the $10 cover charge is worth it for the atmosphere alone. Although there are two bars, it is the dancing that's the real attraction, with the DJ playing classic dance music from the 70's and 80's. The energy is fantastic, and you can (and I have) easily dance for hours.
